Firefighter/EMT Base salary = $53,052

• FF/EMT – $18.8929 per hour ($47,157 per year)
• Holiday pay ($5,895 per year)
• 1.5% increase after 1-year probationary period
• Shift consists of 24/48-hour work schedule (2,496 hours/year)
• Implementing 24/72 work schedule on April 1, 2028 (pending funding approval)

*Firefighter/Paramedic Base salary = $64,648

• FF/EMT – $18.8929 per hour ($47,157per year)
• Paramedic* incentive $4.13 per hour ($10,308 per year)
• Holiday pay ($7,183 per year)
• 1.5% increase after 1-year probationary period
• Shift consists of 24/48-hour work schedule (2,496 hours/year)
• Implementing 24/72 work schedule on April 1, 2028 (pending funding approval)

Minimum requirements:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Valid Florida driver’s license
• Possess an EVOC certificate of completion
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• Current State of Florida Bureau of Fire Standards and Training Minimum Standards Firefighter Certification
• Current State of Florida EMT Certification for EMT
• Current State of Florida Paramedic Certification for PM*
• National Testing Network (Fire Teams and CPAT required)
