How it works

Every fire service job, in one place

One board for firefighter, paramedic, EMT, and fire-officer openings nationwide.

Fire departments post their openings in dozens of different places — city careers pages, civil-service portals, PDF bulletins, and more. Driftsmoke pulls them together so you can search one place instead of thirty.

01

Search

Browse by state or role. Every listing is a real, current opening — firefighter, paramedic, EMT, inspector, fire marshal, and more.

02

See the details

Pay, filing window, continuous vs. open-until-filled, and the department behind it — the things you actually need before applying.

03

Apply with the department

Every posting links straight to the official bulletin or application. You apply directly with the department — Driftsmoke just helps you find it.

Where the listings come from

Most postings are gathered automatically from official recruitment sources — the authoritative national fire-department directory plus live reads of departments' own hiring pages — so new openings appear as soon as they're posted. Departments can alsosubmit their own listings, which we review before they go live. That mix keeps the board both comprehensive and trustworthy.
