FULL-TIME FIREFIGHTER/EMT/AEMT/PARAMEDIC

The Town of Newmarket Fire and Rescue Department is accepting applications for a Full-time Firefighter/EMT. Successful candidates shall be responsible for providing fire protection/suppression services, Emergency Medical Services including transport services.

Successful candidates should be self-motivated, work well in emergency situations and possess an ability to work unsupervised from time to time.

Minimum qualifications are as follows:

  • Nationally Registered and NH Licensed EMT/AEMT/Paramedic with current CPR card
  • NH Firefighters l Certification (Firefighter II Certification preferred)
  • Valid Driver’s License (preference given to candidates with a CDL License)
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, polygraph test, medical exam, and driving record check
  • State of New Hampshire eligibility exam AND Current CPAT Certification or lateral transfer of full-time career personnel pursuant to NH Admin rule 703.01 upon appointment
  • 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Salary range $55,972.80-$61,659.00 depending on experience and certifications
