AIRPORT FIRE FIGHTER INFORMATION SESSIONS
In preparation for an upcoming Airport Fire Fighter recruitment process, the Metropolitan Airports Commission is hosting three Airport Fire Fighter Information Sessions. Guests will learn about the Airport Fire Department, the Airport Fire Fighter position, gain valuable tips for successfully completing the application, and receive important tips on the testing and interview process.
The Airport Fire Fighter position will be posted from September 8, 2026, to October 5, 2026. Our fire fighters are full-time, regular status employees who are stationed at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
INFORMATION SESSIONS will be held in person and virtually on the dates listed below. We kindly request that you register if you plan to attend one of these sessions, due to limited parking availability.

AIRPORT FIRE FIGHTER SALARY RATES
JOIN US ** at one of the upcoming Airport Fire Fighter Information Sessions to learn more about our team and what sets us apart! ## Position Description Airport Fire Fighters respond to emergency and non-emergency incidents which include the provision of medical, fire suppression, and rescue services. Services rendered may be on-airport, off-airport, and in conjunction with other departments through mutual-aid agreements. Airport fire fighters may also participate in public education programs. ## Position Requirements Minimum Requirements**
**Desirable Requirements ** - Associate Degree in Fire Protection or Fire Science. - Completion of Fire Protection or Fire Science Technical Certificate (40-60 Credits). - Completion of two or more year’s post-secondary education. - IFSAC Airport Fire Fighter Certification, or ProBoard Airport Fire Fighter Certification - Two or more years of ARFF work experience at a military base or Part 139 airport. ## Other Information
