Please read: The City of East Bethel does not restrict the Department staffing to only one Firefighter of an immediate family, or close friendships. However, such employment must not create or be perceived as creating a conflict of interest. At all times decisions must be made for the good of the Department. Besides, with the closeness of working together the Department promotes its Firefighters as a family. Following all policies, guidelines should guide all Firefighters in the process to ensure the exception is met for the good of the Department.
