- The Richfield Fire Department is searching for qualified candidates to fill an immediate vacancy for a full-time Firefighter/EMT position.
Requirements include:
- Wisconsin Firefighter I (or higher) Certification.
- Wisconsin EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic License.
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License.
- 18 years of age or older at the time of appointment.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical to validate fitness for duty (able to perform the essential job functions for a firefighter/EMS provider) and drug screening.
Duties associated with the position include, but are not limited to:
- Respond to emergency scenes for the purposes of life preservation and safety, hazard mitigation, incident stabilization, and property conservation.
- Conduct fire inspections, maintain inspection records, and update preplans.
- Conduct and participate in fire prevention and public relations events.
- Maintain equipment and supplies.
- Preparation of various written and computer-based reports.
- Customer service focused and safety minded.
- Other duties as assigned.
