Firefighter – volunteer/paid-on-call

Summary of Position

The City of Monroe is currently accepting applications for the position of Paid-On-Call Firefighter. This is an excellent opportunity to serve your community in a meaningful way while gaining valuable training and experience. ## Duties and Responsibilities - Respond to 3–5 emergency calls per week - Attend required training (2 Tuesday nights/month) - Maintenance Crew (2 Thursday nights/month) - Participate in firefighting, rescue, and emergency medical operations - Maintain readiness of equipment, vehicles, and facilities - Engage in community fire prevention and public education efforts ## Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

• Age 18 or older
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Physically capable of lifting and/or moving up to 100lbs
• Able to complete:
• Wisconsin Firefighter I certification within 18 months
• Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification within 18 months
• CPR certification within 12 months Benefits:
