The Senior Firefighter protectsand serves the public through fire prevention activities, emergency responses to fire, EMS, hazardous materials, and technical rescue incidents.
Minimum Qualifications - Maintain a valid Class “E” driver’s license or equivalent - Minimum of two (2) years of continuous fire service. - All requirements must have been successfully completed for the rank of Firefighter and successfully complete the following courses: - Building Construction Awareness- 1123 - Emergency Vehicle Driver Training- 1210 - Pump Operations 1- 1220 - Aerial Operations- 1250 - Technical Rescuer- 3310 - NIMS for the Fire Service - NREMT Certification as an EMT, AEMT, NRP - SC Licensed as an EMT, AEMT, or NRP
Sign on Bonus - $3,000 for certified individual. $1,500 for a new recruit. Credit for years of service up to 10% Up to 173 hours of built-in Overtime Double time on Holidays worked 24/48 shift schedule Paid Employee Healthcare Advanced EMT - $2,000 bonus Paramedic - $6,000 bonus Critical Care Paramedic - $1,000 SCFA Instructor - $1,000
