The City of Skiatook is accepting applications / resumes for the following position:

FIREFIGHTER / PARAMEDIC

The City of Skiatook is accepting applications for the position of FIREFIGHTER.  Applicants must be able to meet Oklahoma Firefighter Pension and Retirement System requirements.

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED, be 18 years of age, and pass written tests, minimum physical fitness requirements, pass interview, possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License, and pass a background investigation.  Applicants must possess National Registry:  EMT, EMT Advanced or EMT Paramedic certification at the time of application.  Applicants must be capable of attaining EMT licensure in Oklahoma.   EMT Paramedic preferred.   Successful applicants must complete IFSAC Firefighter I certification within their first year of service.

For qualified applicants:

Written Test:                      September 26, 2026 @ 8:30 a.m. place TBA

Physical Agility Test:        September 26, 2026 @ 11:30 a.m. for those that pass the Written Test.
