Civil Service Exam NOTICE

The City of Warrensville Heights is accepting applications and test scores for the position of entry level Firefighter through the National Testing Network beginning June 19th 2026.

Those interested will need to go to: https://www.nationaltestingnetwork.com/publicsafetyjobs to complete an application, view testing dates, times, locations and instructions for the entry exam and pay any required fees. The exam will be computer-administered and include subjects in reading, math and judgment. The entry exam must be taken and you must attain a test score of 70% or higher to be eligible for hire.   A passing test result must be submitted to the City of Warrensville Heights. Test scores must be valid at the time of certification by the Civil Service Commission.

Applicants must be 19 years of age and a maximum of 34 years of age at time of appointment, be a high school graduate or have a GED, and possess a valid Ohio driver’s license, valid State Paramedic certification, valid Ohio Firefighter 2 certification and a State of Ohio Physical Agility test certificate issued on or after June 19th 2025.
