🚒 Job Opening: Reserve Firefighter/EMT Puerco Valley Fire District – Sanders, Arizona
The Puerco Valley Fire District is currently accepting applications for Reserve Firefighter/EMTs to join our team of dedicated professionals. This is an excellent opportunity to serve a rural community, gain valuable hands-on experience, and contribute to public safety in a meaningful way.
Position: Reserve Firefighter/EMT Location: Sanders, AZ Pay: Based on experience
Job Summary: Reserve Firefighter/EMTs support the district by responding to emergency medical calls, fires, and other emergency incidents. Reserve staff may be called upon to work shifts, provide coverage during peak demand, and assist during large-scale emergencies. This role is ideal for individuals looking to advance their careers in the fire and EMS service while serving a close-knit community.
Duties Include:
Responding to medical emergencies and providing patient care within EMT scope of practice
Assisting with fire suppression, rescue operations, and hazardous materials incidents
Performing equipment checks, station maintenance, and training drills
Supporting community outreach and fire prevention efforts
Minimum Requirements:
Arizona EMT certification (or ability to obtain)
Firefighter I & II (Arizona or IFSAC/ProBoard equivalent) preferred
Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass a background check and physical agility test
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior fire/EMS experience
Arizona Firefighter II certification
Schedule: Flexible/reserve scheduling – hours may vary depending on department needs.
