Responsibilities: Receives supervision and direction from our Fire Chief, Fire Captain, Engineer or designee, Responds to fire emergencies, including structural, wildland, dumpster, motor vehicle and hazardous materials, Responds to medical emergencies, including injuries, accidents, falls and medical conditions; performs welfare checks, Performs hose testing, water hydrant testing and maintenance, May operate fire vehicles and equipment, Respond to emergency medical calls; performs patient assessment; administers medical treatment and life support; loads and transports patients to the hospital; completes required reports and documentation; directs and delegates tasks to emergency medical technicians with patient care, Responds to emergency fire calls; performs fire suppression duties, including securing the scene; identifying and containing hazardous materials; setting up, carrying and using equipment; searching for and rescuing citizens; removing obstacles; ventilating structures; salvaging contents; and applying extinguishing agent to fires, Maintains facilities and equipment; cleans station house interior; inspects and maintains vehicles and equipment; maintains supply inventory, Inspects fire hydrants; installs smoke detectors.

  **Education and Certifications Required: ** Valid Arizona State Driver’s License, State of Arizona EMCT-EMT Certification, and Arizona Firefighter I & II Certification; Hazardous Materials First Responder Operations Certification, CPR Certification. 

Within One (1) Year of Date of Hire: ICS: 100, 200, 700 Certification, Wildland Firefighter Certification. 

Preferred Qualifications: Spanish Language Fluency, Associate's Degree in Fire Science, Public Administration, or related field, AZ Driver Operator Certification.
