Current Salary FF/Paramedic Scale

Entry-level Firefighter/Paramedic:  $8,264.20

*Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic with 12-36 months of Service:  $8,713.34

*Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic with 36-60 months of Service:  $9,162.48

First Class Firefighter/Paramedic and *Lateral Firefighter/Paramedic with 60+ months of Service:  $10,060.77

*Kittitas Valley Fire & Rescue defines a lateral firefighter as a firefighter who is a currently certified EMT-P with more than 12 months of paid fire service experience and has attended an approved fire academy. Both entry-level and lateral firefighter/paramedics will be hired on a probationary status and serve a twelve-month probationary period from the date of hire.

KVFR encourages students currently enrolled in paramedic programs to apply! Eligible current paramedic student candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited paramedic program and be on track to complete their program by July 2026.
