FIREFIGHTER / PARAMEDIC

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position represents entry level to advanced level in line fire suppression and fire prevention. This position performs advanced emergency medical skills and procedures and the use of advanced medical equipment. This position responds to emergency incidents and performs a variety of tasks, to include, but not limited to; combating, extinguishing, and preventing fires, extricating and rescuing individuals from entrapment situations, treating the sick and injured, operation and maintenance of fire rescue equipment, apparatus, and quarters.

Performs the duties and fulfills the responsibilities of a State of Nevada Certified Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic, in accordance with the provisions of Nevada Administrative Code Chapter 450B and standing orders and written protocols as set forth by the Medical Director for the Pahrump medical division. Applicant must be able to work 24 hours shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
