Basic Function
Under supervision, responds to fire alarms and emergency medical calls to protect life and property.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Tests and maintains ambulances, pumping engines, aerial ladder trucks, hoses, and other equipment;Participates in fire rescues, fire prevention, station maintenance, and training activities; Performs cleanup and overhaul work after a fire; Responds to EMS calls, administers first aid as required, and writes EMS reports; Responds to major alarms while off duty; Assists with public education on fire prevention; Performs other duties as assigned.
