About Eastside Fire & Rescue

Eastside Fire & Rescue is a partnership agency in east King County, Washington, formed on January 1, 1999 through the consolidation of King County Fire Districts 10 and 38 with the cities of Issaquah and North Bend. Sammamish joined the partnership in January 2000. The agency was built on the idea that member communities are "better together as Partners than apart" when it comes to economics, resources, and governance.

Today the department serves Issaquah, North Bend, Sammamish, the Snoqualmie Tribe, Mercer Island, and surrounding fire districts, delivering fire suppression, emergency medical services, prevention, and disaster preparedness education across the region.

Operations are run from 13 fire stations spread across Issaquah, May Valley, Sammamish, Carnation, Duvall, North Bend, Mercer Island, and Woodinville. Beyond core response, the agency maintains specialized wildland, hazardous materials, and technical rescue teams and runs community programs such as CORE (Community Outreach Resources & Education) and a naloxone overdose-prevention partnership with King County Public Health.
