The Bainbridge Island Fire Department (BIFD) is a combination department of paid and volunteer members serving the City of Bainbridge Island, Washington, in Kitsap County across Puget Sound from Seattle. Its mission is safeguarding lives, property, and the environment through prevention, education, and emergency response.
BIFD operates three stations — Station 21 (8895 Madison Avenue NE), Station 22 (7934 NE Bucklin Hill Road), and Station 23 (12985 Phelps Road NE) — and runs a Fire Marshal's Office and extensive community risk-reduction programs, including CPR/AED and Stop the Bleed training, disaster preparedness, and wildfire mitigation under its Community Wildfire Protection Plan (Firewise). It provides EMS with patient transport.
