About East Greenwich Fire Department

The East Greenwich Fire Department is the career fire and EMS agency for the Town of East Greenwich, Rhode Island, operating out of two stations: the Main Street headquarters, which also houses the Fire Chief's office, Fire Marshal, and Fire Alarm/Communications office, and a second station on Frenchtown Road. The department runs its own Emergency Medical Services & Rescue Division alongside traditional fire suppression companies.

Beyond emergency response, the department's Fire Marshal's office handles residential fire, carbon monoxide, and life-safety inspections, burn permits, and enforcement of state open-burning regulations, giving East Greenwich firefighters a hand in fire prevention and code compliance in addition to responding to calls.
