About Corvallis Fire Department

The Corvallis Fire Department provides fire prevention and suppression alongside Advanced Life Support ambulance transport for the City of Corvallis, Oregon State University, and the Corvallis Rural Fire Protection District. Its transport service reaches an area of roughly 765 square miles covering nearly all of Benton County.

The department is a combination organization staffing four in-city stations 24/7 with career personnel, supplemented by live-in and community-based volunteers and an additional station (Locke) outside the city limits.

Emergency medical calls make up about 75% of the department's workload. All firefighters are state-certified EMTs and more than half hold paramedic licensure. The department also operates a regional hazardous materials response team serving Benton, Linn, and portions of Lincoln, Polk, and Marion Counties, and provides wildfire risk reduction and water rescue services on the Willamette River.

MissionProtect the life, property, and environment of the communities we serve with professionalism, integrity, and compassion.
