Oklahoma Dept Of Agriculture - Forestry Services
Oklahoma City, OK · Oklahoma County
Oklahoma Forestry Services (OFS) is the state's wildland fire and forestry agency within the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food & Forestry (ODAFF). It manages and coordinates wildfire response across Oklahoma, monitors fire danger and drought (publishing situation reports and the OK-FIRE and Keetch-Byram Drought Index maps), and promotes the safe, lawful use of prescribed fire as a tool for healthy landscapes.
Beyond suppression, OFS supports rural and volunteer fire departments, certifies arborists, manages state forest resources, and delivers wildfire-prevention and education programs. Its roles include fire-prevention and security officers who help protect state facilities and lands.
Oklahoma Forestry Services hires wildland-fire and forestry staff, including Fire Prevention & Security Officers.
What does Oklahoma Forestry Services do?
