About Cypress Pointe Fire/Rescue

Cypress Pointe Fire & Rescue (CPFR) was created in 2010 through the consolidation of the Cameron Fire Department, Circle V Fire Department, and Vass Rescue Squad, three organizations with roots going back to 1928, 1958, and 1963 respectively. Bringing the three under one banner streamlined response, eliminated duplicated coverage, and pooled staffing and equipment across eastern Moore County.

Today the department operates from four stations and describes itself as progressive, providing services well beyond traditional fire suppression, including EMT-level medical response, hazardous materials operations, and heavy/technical rescue. Members of its Water Rescue Task Force hold state certification in both surface and swift-water rescue, and the department maintains automatic-aid partnerships with neighboring Carthage Fire Department and Whispering Pines Fire Department, as well as Moore County EMS.

CPFR responds to well over a thousand incidents a year across structure fires, vehicle wrecks, and water rescues, tracking incident totals dating back to 2011.

MissionOur members are very professional, well trained and dedicated to the people that we serve.
