About Morris Township Fire Department

Morris Township Fire Department has protected the Convent Station and Morristown area of Morris County, New Jersey for well over a century, with department chief records dating to 1919. The department moved from part-time to full-time leadership in 1961 when Victor Hodges became its first full-time chief, and it is led today by Fire Chief Michael Nunn, supported by three lieutenants and a team of fire inspectors.
