About Concord Fire Department

Concord Fire Department serves the City of Concord, New Hampshire's state capital, from four fire stations staffed continuously: Central, Broadway, Manor, and Heights. The department protects the State Capitol Building, Legislative Offices, and the State Emergency Operations Center in addition to the city's residential and commercial areas.

Crews respond to roughly 10,300 calls a year covering fire suppression, basic and advanced life support emergency medical care, hazardous materials incidents, and responses in the city's wild-land areas and waterways. The department also provides mutual aid to 24 neighboring communities and maintains a regional emergency communications function alongside fire alarm and traffic signal system maintenance.

A dedicated Fire Prevention division, led by the Fire Marshal, handles code enforcement, permitting, fire investigation (working with state and ATF partners, including an accelerant-detection canine), and public fire-safety education programs such as school outreach and a juvenile fire-setter intervention program.
