The North St. Paul Fire Department protects the lives and property of residents, businesses, and visitors as first responders to fires, medical emergencies, disasters, and other public-safety concerns across the 3.1-square-mile city of North St. Paul, Minnesota, in the Twin Cities metro. It responds to about 1,800 emergency incidents a year, including structure and vehicle fires, alarm calls, EMS, motor-vehicle accidents, water and ice rescue, and fire-cause investigations.

The department consists of 4 full-time and 35 paid-per-call employees; full-time staff handle administration, fire inspections, code compliance, and weekday response, supported by paid-per-call firefighters. Advanced Life Support ambulance service is provided by Lakeview Hospital EMS, whose paramedics are based locally at the fire station. It is led by Fire Chief Jason Mallinger.

Requirements
