The department fields 35 personnel in a blended staffing model: two career firefighter/paramedics, ten part-time firefighter/paramedics, and 23 paid-on-call members (three of whom are paramedics, the rest EMTs), all trained to at least Firefighter I with most reaching Firefighter II under the Michigan Firefighters Training Council.
Beyond fire suppression, the department runs 24/7 Advanced Life Support EMS licensed by the State of Michigan, with all personnel trained in CPR and semi-automatic defibrillator use. It also handles fire code enforcement, building plan review, and school-based fire prevention education, reflecting a community-safety mission that extends past emergency response into prevention and training.
