About Easton Fire & Rescue Department

Easton Fire & Rescue Department has served the town of Easton, Massachusetts since 1894, growing from its founding into a career department that now covers a 29.3-square-mile service area and a population of just over 25,000. The department runs three fire stations, staffed around the clock, and fields a fleet that includes three pumpers, one ladder truck, and two ambulances for primary response.

Beyond structural fire suppression, the department delivers advanced life support EMS, fire prevention and code enforcement, public fire and life-safety education, hazmat response at the operations level, and vehicle extrication. Firefighters are cross-trained as paramedics, and officers hold Fire Officer I & II, Fire Instructor, and Fire Inspector certifications on top of their firefighting credentials.

The department also runs a Mobile Integrated Health program alongside the town's Department of Health and Community Services, sending a dedicated EMS/MIH officer out to connect residents with preventive care and community health resources so they can avoid unnecessary emergency visits. Answering roughly 4,200 calls a year, the department operates under the motto "Always Ready, Proud to Serve."
