Franklin County Fire Department

Franklin County Fire Department provides fire suppression and other emergency services to residents of Franklin County, Kentucky, including the county seat of Frankfort, from six fire stations spread across 222 square miles of coverage area. The department maintains an ISO Class 2/2Y rating, reflecting the strength of its fire suppression capabilities and water supply infrastructure in the county it serves.

Administrative operations run out of the department's office at 321 West Main Street in downtown Frankfort, with response operations based at the Public Safety Complex on Darbyshire Circle.
