About Twin Falls Fire Department

Twin Falls Fire Department (TFFD) is the region's only all-career fire agency, covering roughly 75 square miles from a main downtown station, two substations, and a dedicated aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) station at Joslin Field. The department is built around a compact command structure of a Fire Chief and Deputy Fire Chief, three shift Battalion Chiefs, nine Captains, twelve Driver/Operators, and a roster of firefighters, supported by a part-time Fire Inspector and administrative staff, for roughly 48 full-time employees in total.

Beyond structural fire suppression, TFFD responds to medical emergencies, technical rescues, and aircraft incidents at the Twin Falls airport, and runs a Fire Prevention and Inspection Division out of the Fire Marshal's office handling code enforcement, occupancy inspections, Knox Box key access, and public fire-safety education for schools, businesses, and residents. Recruit and incumbent training runs through the Jim Bieri Regional Training Center on Victory Avenue.

Hiring for TFFD runs through the City of Twin Falls' central online jobs portal rather than a standalone fire-department careers page; openings are posted there as they arise, and prospective applicants can subscribe to email/RSS job notifications to be alerted the moment a firefighter position opens.

MissionDedicated to the continued excellence of life safety, fire suppression, education and community involvement.
