Sandpoint Fire Department

Selkirk Fire Rescue & EMS is a combined fire agency operating in Bonner County, Idaho. It was formed in 2014 as a joint venture between the Sagle Fire District and the Westside Fire District, created with the goal of building a more resilient fire service and generating cost savings for its member agencies.

Described on its own site as an "All Risk" agency, Selkirk responds to all-hazard incidents including structure and wildland fires, emergency medical calls, traffic accidents, technical rescues, water rescues, hazardous materials, and public service calls. The organization is a combination department that relies on both career staff and volunteers.

Staffing is split across staffed and volunteer stations. Staffed facilities include the administrative office at Station #3 in Sagle and Station #2 in Dover, with additional volunteer and resident stations spread across the district (Careywood, Wrenco, Laclede, Cocolalla, Seneacquoteen, and Bottle Bay).

Beyond emergency response, the agency is active in the community with fire safety education, fire inspections, and public events.
